So we had Pat Ellerbeck in the Cyprus Gran Fondo trying to qualify for the World's in Denmark which he achieved. We also had Stassi Bowler racing for St Piran Ladies as well. We know a couple of TTs have been cancelled for different reasons as well.

Fri 29th Mar Stage 1 ITT 17.7 miles 1st 49.01 (4 starters)

Sat 30th Mar Stage 2 Medio Fondo 43 miles 1st 2.53.34 clear by 3.15 (5 starters)

Pat's Race Report - a very successful couple of days in Cyprus with victories in UCI world age group qualification races. Friday was a 17.70 mile ITT 850 ft up then back down again, managing a 49.01 a couple of mins faster than the opposition. Saturday was a gruelling 43 mile road race with temperatures of 26C and 4000ft of climbing really suffered. I'm no climber, managed a time of 2hr 53  overcoming cramp and general dehydration to win by 4 and a half minutes. Some long 3 mile +climbs followed by some reasonably technical (for me anyway) fast descents, some on patchy road surfaces, not for the faint hearted , rim brakes held out well! On the plus side it won’t be so hilly in Denmark.
