So 3 weeks worth of TT/Crit/CX Results after our Webmaster (Martin Bond) has been tackling the Trans Pyrenees ride with Mark Colmer and Mike Biggs (hopefully a write up on this shortly!). Some impressive PBs, wins, as well as some excellent end of season TT form has been found. Not many race reports were submitted, they are always welcome as we know a number of our members do like to read them. Any mistakes or omissions then please let the club know.

MK Bowl BM Crit Race Tues 22nd Aug Pat Ellerbeck 6th (won age group)

Race Report - This weeks BM race at the Bowl - all age groups combined in one group, managed to stay with the leading group of 6, led out by the 40-45 strong man, managed to get back on a couple of times after being dropped. The last time went over the top with 1 lap to go, and waved as they all sped past me on the final sprint, won my age group comfortably 6th overall, enjoyable ride, unfortunately left my garmin at home.

Race Report by Mark Greenhow - The inter club 15 should have been the first event in the series but was rearranged due to roadworks and on the morning of the event it looked likely to be cancelled again as it was quite foggy but luckily it cleared in time to allow things to go ahead as planned. We had 7 riders competing and with us lying 2nd in this the penultimate event we were hoping for a good points tally to give ourselves the chance of overhauling series leaders Ashwell in the final event. As it turned out conditions were excellent and all our riders not only turned up but got around the course with no issues. Sadly Ashwell managed to widen the gap a little, and with home club Beds Road getting a big number of entries we were 3rd on the day. SNCC took first and second place on the day with great rides from Sam McDonald and Mark Redwood (Sam won the event on his road bike due to mechanical issues with his TT bike). Well done to all who competed for SNCC in this event and a massive thanks for your efforts, the same goes to all that have represented the club in this season's competition so far. Hopefully we will see a good number of entries for the final event this year (the hill climb) as we look to try to hang on to second place for the second consecutive year.
