Come and celebrate 125 years since the first St Neots Cycling Club was formed, and ride our 125km Autumn Breeze sportive. You'll start the ride on St Neots' superb dedicated cycleways. Then enjoy a rolling route along some of the quietest lanes and charming villages that Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire have to offer. It is a perfect route to start winding down for the winter! Entries are limited to 200 riders so book now to avoid disappointment.

With just over 2000 feet of climbing, the route will present a reasonable challenge but be accessible to all riders in good health and fitness, and perfect for an enjoyable end to the season. Our sportive is open to all standards of riders, from those who are regular road cyclists clocking up the miles, to those who focus more on recreational riding but want to challenge themselves on the roads of Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. All we ask is that you have a roadworthy bike. There will be a range of abilities on the day, so come along and join us to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the St Neots Cycling Club, one of the oldest clubs in the country.
The Sportive will start at the One Leisure Centre in St Neots where there will be free parking. Whatever direction you are coming from the centre is very accessible, being close to the A1 and the A428.
The route will take you out of St Neots over the recently opened cycle bridge, the Willow Bridge, and then via Kimbolton, Raunds and Thrapston to pass round to the north of Oundle via Brigstock and Benefield. The route back to St Neots goes through Apethorpe, Nassington and Elton and then via Old Weston and the sharp hill up to Catworth. Back at Kimbolton the route turns west for a short while rather than going straight back and passes through Pertenhall, Little Staughton and Bushmead and then home. We will finish back at One Leisure and you will be able to enjoy a welcome meal of eggs or beans on toast included in the entry fee.
Registration at the One Leisure Centre will commence at 7.30am with the first riders away at 8am.
The route will be fully signed and there will be support on the road from experienced St Neots Cycling Club cyclists who will be riding the route. We will operate a broom wagon to rescue cyclists and bikes that have completely broken down.
We have engaged the services of a professional event photographer, George Burgess Photography, who will be taking photographs at registration and on the route. Free sports massages, before and after the ride to easy those aching legs will be provided by b-activ, who specialise in massage therapy and fitness classes - first come, first served
