Treasurer’s Report

  • The Treasurer advised that club finances remain healthy with approx £6k in the bank, though this is expected to be reduced to approx. £4.5k with payments due to Endura for the latest kit order and CTT for the 2014 TT levy. Further expenditure will be required for new equipment related to racing/TT and the Autumn Breeze sportive.
  • Club membership currently stands at 138, with 19 new members in 2015. The retention rate remains broadly consistent with 2014 and overall membership is up from the same period last year.
  • CTT cheque for 2014 has still not been presented (see above) (Action: SR).
  • Some members who attended the Silverstone TTT have still not paid their £10 entry fee at the time of writing. This will be followed-up as the Club has already subsidised entry to this event (Action: SR).

Racing and Time Trials

  • The Club TT season proved exciting once again, with only the Hill Climb to come.
  • Purchase of x2 first aid kits complete. Invoice still to be submitted to the Club (Action: AMc).
  • The inter-club Hill Climb is scheduled for 4 October. Details to be circulated to members (Action: SR).
  • The Alconbury road races promoted by VC Chevaliers Bleu received positive feedback from Club members.
  • A number of Club members travelled to Denmark to compete in the UCI TT and RR events. Congratulations to everyone who qualified and to those who took part.
  • As a result of various affiliations the Club will be required to promote 2 * Road Races. 1 * Inter-Club TT and 1 * Open TT will also be promoted.
  • Eastern Cross racing begins on 5 September and Central League Cross racing begins on 29 September for members interested in racing CX this season.

CCF

Social Plans

  • A curry night is planned for 25 September (Action: SW).
  • The Club Summer BBQ will not go ahead for 2015.
  • The Annual Awards Dinner will be on 27 November this year. The committee agreed to provide a subsidy for a late bar and disco. Final costs to be submitted and agreed at the September committee meeting (Action: SW).
  • The Club trip to the Elan Valley in September is now cancelled due to lack of interest. The Club will absorb the cancellation costs of £260. It is now unlikely that any future trips will be organised by the Club (Action: AMc).
  • The Club will host a Reliability Ride early in 2016 using Titan as a base (Action: SW).

  • The Club Chairman and Club Secretary both confirmed that they will not be seeking re-election to those positions at the AGM.
