15th September 2013

In spite of the chilly start, the numbers at our club run are holding up at more than 40. And this Sunday was no different, with even more cold weather gear on show, but a great turnout, swelled by the ladies of the Breeze ride.

This week we had five groups - the Breeze ride, the short route, two large groups doing the long route, and a medium route group.

Medium Route

More people were doing the long route than usual and fewer doing the medium, so, unusually, we only had one medium group - inevitably this meant a wider range of rider abilities than normal. However, with good will all round, we stayed together as a group all the way round until the very end on the descent of Everton Hill and the run in to St Neots where it hotted up a bit. It seemed that everyone had an enjoyable ride, and got back to St Neots just before the rain arrived. About 50 miles at 17.5mph.
