15 riders met this morning at the Market Square.

Very good to see Adrian Lancaster back with us after his accident, and also Adrian Bloxham.

A first ride for many months saw Tarik taking to the road again and a warm welcome to Steven Rodley who joined us for the first time and is threatening to come back and do it all again. Steven tells us that he builds his own wheels - and rides them!

A slight chill in the air ( but nowhere near as cold as last Sunday) but with the sun shining we left the Market Square and headed out towards Kimbolton through Hail Weston. All going well until the cry of puncture in Kimbolton and this was from Ashley. Group 1 decided to keep going as we were close to the agreed split point for the groups.

Puncture sorted Group 2 headed out of Kimbolton and up towards Molesworth and the Giddings before heading back towards Barham , Spaldwick and home.

Puncture number two of the day also happened to the unluckly Ashley near Barham and thanks to Steven for lending Ashley his spare inner tube.

Somehow fixing punctures is so much more pleasant when the Sun is shining !!

Group 1 passed Group 2 about 2 miles outside Kimbolton.

45 miles for Group 2.

After the puncture, Group 1 took the lumpy route to Raunds. Along the way, quite bizarrely, the top of one Richard O's water bottles fell off! Then it was on to new roads for the club run. From Raunds we headed north to Denford, Thrapston, Islip and Aldwincle, then it was on to Wadenhoe and more familiar roads as we crossed the A605. We set a good pace back to Kimbolton then on to Little Staughton and Bushmead.

Positive feedback on the route so we'll probably head out that way again.
