Zwift Rides

Virtual Club Runs continue on Zwift - now on Wednesdays & Sundays... Updated 26.02.21

 

Wednesday Ride - Hosted by Matt Gurnell:

Following the success of the Sunday SNCC Zwift rides organised by Gareth Mount, Matt Gurnell has launched a mid-week club Zwift ride which started on Wednesday 17th February.

The Wednesday rides start at 18:30 for 60 minutes. Like the Sunday ride, they will be banded/keep together sessions - allowing riders to go easy, hard, or do your own structured workout. You all stay together - as long as you keep pedalling.

Matt now has a guest list running, but all SNCC members are welcome. If you’d like an invite, you’ll need to ‘follow’ Matt on Zwift, so he can then invite you to the event (always helps if you include ‘SNCC’ in your profile name). Any problems please text him on 07775 851185 to link up.

The SNCC Discord channel will be in use for those that want to chat.

Sunday Ride - Hosted by Gareth Mount:

This week's route is the Douce France route - 24.1km and 108m of climbing.

The Sunday rides start at 08:30 and Gareth sets the duration to 120 minutes, although riders can break off as they see fit if they have time pressures, or carry on riding afterwards if they wish to.

Gareth also makes regular 'trawls' in Zwift for Club members and adding SNCC to your Zwift name will help him to identify you as a Club member.

These are 'banded' rides, which means as long as you keep pedalling (short stops are fine) you will not be 'dropped' no matter what power/effort you are outputting. The more Zwift savvy riders can also do a structured workout during the ride.
