  1. Race Team

    • GN managed to get the Club reinstated in the CRRL on the premise that we would provide a race for the CRRL calendar in July to replace one of the 2 cancelled races

    • To avoid issues in future years, we need to ensure we re-join CRRL by 31 December

    • Noted that the Club will receive entry fees from our CRRL race in July but that we will incur costs for marshals, etc

  1. Sportive 2018

    • MB has agreed to manage this year’s sportive which will be on 7 October

    • One Leisure is booked as HQ

    • The event is on the BC website, which says there will be 3 routes, 100 miles / 60 miles / 30 miles, entry fees £20 / £20 / £12 + £1 for online entry, with entry fees on the day £25 / £25 / £15

    • PMN: Ian Burroughs put the event on the BC website.  MB has tried to access the event as an administrator but does not currently have access.  He has asked BC to transfer grant him admin rights

    • There was a discussion over whether the entry fees are too high, with a suggestion that £18 might be better – MB to consider

    • Agreed that we will re-use the 2016 routes (100 miles / 62 miles / 30 miles) which use feed stations at Old Weston and Wilden

    • PMN: Wilden Village Hall booked.  Old Weston Village Hall is not available so MB will find an alternative

    • Agreed that early publicity is key.  The following avenues will be used:

    • Social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc)

    • Local press (Hunts Post, etc)

    • Local cycling clubs

    • Local bike shops

    • Club members’ places of employment

  1. Website

    • RS has had some issues with Joomla and is currently unable to post new articles – RS/JC to resolve

  1. Hot Cross Bun Run (30/03/18)

    • This was a well-attended event which most seemed to enjoy

  1. Velodrome (31/03/18)

    • The event was fully-subscribed (16 people) and was very enjoyable

    • The Club will arrange another visit later in the year if there is sufficient interest

    • Wayne offered the option of another track session in Derby but no one has expressed an interest to date

  1. NCRA race (07/04/18)

    • This was a well-attended, enjoyable event which generated income for the Club

  1. Recurring club business

  1. Membership

    • Now 138 members

    • We need a few more before we do another run on membership cards

  1. Club affiliations

    • Nothing to report other than that we are back in the CRRL

  1. Club kit

    • No issues

    • Gareth has offered discounted Castelli Perfettos to Club members

  1. GDPR

    • No issues

    • PMN: BC has published some GDPR guidance.  MB has reviewed and concluded that there is no need to change the Club’s current arrangements

  1. AOB

    • There have been recent issues with some members not receiving the weekly club emails or the emails being delayed – it is thought that this is due to a server issue outside of the Club’s control
