Tuesday 23rd July 2019 was a fitting time for me to ride with the SNOG's. The sun was shining, temperature up and my son Oliver enjoying the school holiday's and looking for a ride.

SNOGs

An open invitation from Norman King resulted in the pair of us turning up in the square for a very sociable 9.30am start to head out on the previously agreed S19 route. We weren't alone as seven others were there for this popular mid-week ride.

We set off at a speed respectable of any Sunday club run, the pace kept Oliver honest and livened up even more when we got to the hills, however this is where the 50kg 13 year old soon realised an advantage was to be had and showed his heels to the odd rider and Chairman.....!

20 miles in we hit the coffee stop: The Willows Cafe, Brampton. This was a great place to stop as it was welcoming, had good coffee, snacks and cakes, but also a wonderful garden to sit in and keep an eye on our bikes. This is a recommended stop to all passing members at any time of year.

Following the refreshments we pushed on and faced Great Paxton hill on the run back to St. Neots. There was no place to hide with these guys as there was even a sprint for the St. Neots sign on Huntingdon Road, brilliant.

Thanks to Norman and all the guys on the ride for making both Oliver and I welcome. We had a fantastic time and will be back again.

If you'd like to ride with the St. Neots Old Geezers please get in touch via the "Contact Us" link, you'll not regret it. No one gets left behind, everyone has a chat and enjoys the countryside as it rolls by

Until next time.....
