Murphy is 2019 Handicap TT Champion

Simon Murphy took a 14 point lead over Simon Elkington at the start of the last TT of the 2019 season this evening. This has been the most closely contested finish to a TT season for a number of years and before tonight Simon M had posted 7 PBs taking his PB at the start of the season down from 27:43 to 25:12 an improvement of 2:31 over the past 18 weeks.

One PB for best Season finish

Another week of warm, dry and slightly better wind conditions than previous weeks were on hand to greet the 12 riders ready to test themselves on the challenging 11.2-mile SNCC TT course this evening, although PB’s were hard to come by as we head towards the end of 2019 season.

Unfavourable WNW winds prevented PBs this evening

Warm, dry but varying windy conditions were on hand to greet the 14 riders ready to test themselves on the challenging 11.2-mile SNCC TT course this evening.

3 PBs this evening

Warm and dry conditions were on hand to greet the 20 riders ready to test themselves on the challenging 11.2-mile SNCC TT course this evening.

The Over 60’s lead the way with PBs.

The portents for some good times was certainly on the cards for the 15 riders ready to test themselves on the 11.2 mile circuit around Abbotsley.

Warmest night of the year and no PB’s

Perhaps a few looked at the hot weather and decided the TT was not for them tonight but this did not stop the 16 intrepid riders at the start line ready to take on the 11.2 mile course around Abbotsley and also the pending thunder and lightning.

McDonald wins two trophies at the Ashman

 It is doubtful that there are many bike trophies which have been contested since 1938 which include the Second World War years.

77 Year Old Bradford delivers the only PB of the evening.

A drop in the numbers this week with 17 riders at the start line for the 12th SNCC TT of the season around the 11.2 mile Abbotsley course.

For the 11th TT of the season 21 riders were ready at the start line to test themselves on the challenging 11.2 mile round course at Abbotsley.
