TT Results 10th July 2014
The traffic lights through Abbotsley prevented us from running the normal 11.2 miles TT this evening. We started the TT after the last house as you leave Abbotsley on the way to St Neots and finished the TT shortly after the church at the left hand turn to Waresley as you descend the hill.
As a result no PB’s can be awarded this evening although for the purpose of the Handicap Trophy we used the current handicap times for the riders.
Disappointing that only 12 riders turned out this evening of which three were guests leaving only nine points on offer towards the Handicap Trophy.
Conditions were very good with even a slight benefit from the wind up by the golf course.
Old friend of the Club, Kevin Stokes, led the way home with a 27.02 with Simon Richardson the first club member home in 27.34 followed by Christian Tredidgo in 27.45. Opinion will vary as to what difference the shortened course makes on times, however given the conditions a few riders were regretting that it was not the normal course as they would have been on target for a PB (perhaps).
Handicap Trophy
Anyway little change in the order for the Handicap Trophy with Martin Kirby taking the maximum points with Leon and Alistair sharing second place with equal handicap times. The two Mark's , Simon and Christian are all poised for any slip up Martin.
If the forecast is correct for this Thursday then we are in for a warm evening and it would be great to see as many riders as possible out again on the course.
It is likely to be the shortened course again for the 17th.

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign on at the latest at 7pm for a 7.15pm start. Non-members are welcome to “Come and Try.
