Hattersley Fastest on a Shortened Course...

The dreaded traffic lights made yet another appearance on the 11.2 mile Abbotsley TT course this evening, therefore curtailing the length of the time trial course and we started on the flat area before the hill into the village. So no PBs this evening. However, this did not prevent some very good performances from a number of riders and at the end of the evening a number were speculating as to how they would have performed on the full course.

The conditions were ideal for the TT and Luke Hattersley was fastest home with a time of 23:56 followed by Jake Hennessey, making his SNCC TT debut, on 24:35 with Nic Pillinger third in 25:01.

Our congratulations to Jake who this week acquired his Cat 1 racing licence in his first season of racing and also for such a good time on his road bike

Chris Green continues with the yellow jersey and has now opened up a twenty five point gap over Nic Pillinger and with only 4 TT’s left before the end of the season will the chasing pack be able to close this gap and take the 2015 Handicap Trophy away from Chris.

We would encourage all riders to attend as much as they can over the next four weeks to ensure that the contest remains as open as possible as it may still be decided on the final TT of 27th August.
