Having spent most of the year with the single aim of winning an UCI jersey it was a bit of an anti climax as having assessed all the opposition I had 2 people to beat,

We ran nine of our ten scheduled events to which reaction from riders was invariably very favourable. On behalf of the Association I would like to thank all the organisers and their helpers. A special thankyou must go to Simon Richardson and his team from St Neots CC for organising their first event for us – learning the ropes of organising an N&DCA event is not without its peculiarities!

& Club Hill Climb championship

Sunday saw the fifth and final event in this year's Inter Club competition, the Hill Climb hosted by SNCC at the 6X/H course at Sharpenhoe Clappers; 900m long at an average gradient of 7%, although with flatter sections at both the start and finish the middle is certainly worthy of being used for both the Inter Club and our Hill Climb Championship.

The cyclocross season is underway and we are up to round 3 already. But that doesn't mean its to late for you to give it a go, quite the opposite in fact

Simon Elkington wins back to back Handicap Trophies

The final SNCC TT of 2018 attracted 25 riders to the start line including 6 guests on a fine warm evening.

Super Mac heads the pack

Sat Aug 2nd was another hot day with wind at the Inter Club 10 hosted by IRC. This was the fourth event of five to be held in this series. I have been lucky enough to have ridden in 3 of them and have found them to be entirely enjoyable. There is a great sense of camaraderie, whether you are the fast boys of part of the also-rans who are looking at breaking their PB. This follows on from a similar theme at our own Club TT on Thursdays.

On Saturday 28th July a team of four racing in SNCC colours took the start line for what is meant to be one of the fastest courses in the area, although the blustery wind had something to say about this.....as did a pre-race burger for one of the squad!

SNCC Win the team standing for this round

Last Sunday saw the 25 mile event in the Inter-Club series hosted by CC Ashwell on the F14/25 course ( www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/course-details/f14-25 ) with 10 riders taking the start line for SNCC in a field of around 70 in total

Another good showing from the SNCC crew at todays interclub 30 mile TT. Todays team was Pat Ellerbeck, Mark Greenhow, Chris Green, Simon Murphy, Dave Richards, Norman King, Graham Wesson, Simon Richardson, Steve Lyons, David Leech, Simon Elkington and Dave Wilson.

Its been a busy week 4-10th June

Firstly appologies if I've missed anyone. Send in what you've been up to and I'll add you in.
