Sunday, 8th May 14. - SNCC Long Ride.

Today, five young, lean, fit racing snakes (well, choose any of the aforementioned adjectives if you think they fit - they may not thought!) took the Sunday Club Rides by storm, tackling the long ride without any of the Club's regular ride leaders!
David, Mike, Paul, Vince and Staś cycled 100 km with one route carrying Garmin between them, riding at an average speed of 16.4 mph and staying together (even finishing together down the Bushmead Sprint) in just under 4 hours.
Company was good and all riders took their turn at the front, with each one experiencing a 'power drop' at various times.
It was a good route (thanks to whoever set it) taking in bits of the countryside not tackled by us before and with a fair few 'interesting' hills thrown in to keep it from being boring!
And to think that 12 months ago we were all worrying about being able to keep up on the short rides!!!
