Stevenage Audax was created by Chrisbpr
Hello all. I am doing the end of summer Audax on the 30th of October.

Anyone who fancies joining me is more than welcome but will have to put up with my belly aching every time the road heads up.

On the plus side is the WI ran control !

I'm racing CX on that day up at Grafham but did this a few years back (2013?) with Andy Mc, Chris, Wayne and a few others. Very good route, well organised and one "information" control (sorry Chris I can't remember the correct name).

As Chris says one of the controls was a WI run "cafe" at a village hall, sandwiches and cake were excellent!

My fondest memories were;

Wayne getting dropped on the hill near Saffron Walden by a bloke on a steel bike wearing corduroy trousers.

'Rod Stewart'

Sausage sandwiches at the WI

Chris' High School Musical mug

Must, must get a group together to do the Start of Summertime!

A good day out as ever but didn't get to see much scenery as it was a bit on the foggy side.

Found a piccie in which you can see a few SNCC types.
