I need to do some longer rides which are much more feasible with the spring weather (which is NOT to be commented on in this forum post!)
My aim is to ride on Saturday morning for 2.5 - 3 hours leaving the Market Square at 8:00am promptly. The route will be one of two. If the wind is from the north, the route will be out to Holme via Giddings and back via Huntingdon. If the wind is from the south, the route will be down to Bassingbourn then over Royston golf course and back through Ashwell and Sutton (?) then Potton. These rides should take about 2:45hrs
On Sunday, I'm planning on rides of 80 - 100 miles and so as not to impact on family life too much, my intention will be to leave the Market Square at 7:30. Route will be decided in advance and where possible will try to overlap with the main run so they might be caught up. Whatever, the idea would be to back at Nero's to catch up with other riders.
The important point for both rides is a prompt start from the Market Square and the pace will be reasonable so the rides do not end up taking all day.

I can't do Saturdays - family stuff, but might try and get out for the odd Sunday, especially if the route heads out my way.

I'd be up for a few Saturdays when I'm not able to attend the Sunday club run for whatever reason.
If I'm honest a pre 8:30 ride on a Sunday wouldn't go down that well

Especially if you've been up half the night living the dream!
