So...

What racing is every doing this year??

Fom the most popular thread here i'm guess the TTs are the main staple, but is any one doing anything else??

I quite fancy a crit or two (if i can get some strength/fitness/other back) particularly as i can't afford a TT bike at the moment.

Been half eyeing up the ones at MK.

So what's every one else up to?

I'll most likely be doing the Rockingham series rather than MK - they're both on Thursdays

I will be doing the CAT4 only races on Saturdays in MK.

I cannot make the first one so the ones I am doing are:

16th March
www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details...ason-Warm-Up-Races-2

23rd March
www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details...ason-Warm-Up-Races-3

First one and the one its looking doubtful I can go is:
www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details...ason-Warm-Up-Races-1

Quite a few people are interested in going to these.

I think CAT4 sets off at 9:00am

Be good to see lots of SNCC riders there but I won't be rounding them up

I like shiny things

Hmmm, don't think i'll be strong enough for those, just had three weeks off the bike for one reason or another.

Do most of them allow you to get a day license??

Want to give it a try (again) before i stump up for a full license!!

If you get a British Cycling Race membership (I have Race Silver as it has recreational insurance as well as racing insurance) you get a provisional race license. You can race with it but you don't earn points is my understanding.

I'm hoping to give Rockingham a try but given my 12 weeks off I think I will be in the same position strength-wise.

Not sure who Muchee is, so I can't comment on how you'll find the racing. These are only Cat 4 so shouldn't be too bad. By that I mean if you've been riding in group 1 you'll be fine. If you've been riding in group 2 you'll find it hard, depending how strong or not you are in group 2 you may well get dropped, and at MK, lapped.

Most local races are 3/4, and they are quite different. You get quite a few 2nd cat standard riders (i.e. could cope with a 2nd cat race, but don't race enough to keep their points up). So 3/4 are harder.

Otherwise, if you want to be competitive, it's like Geoff says.

I've raced MK, and I'll be at the social tonight, so if you want advice please collar me!
