Racing at Rockingham

Morning all, this was posted on Facebook by Rowland Summerlin (the organiser) over the weekend for anyone thinking of taking part:


Just so everyone is clear the first event at Rockingham Speedway is Thursday 9th May. All events will be for 2/3/4/W/J Start at 7pm for an hour plus. Events will be handicapped. Cost will be £15 entry on the day. Please bring a completed entry form for your first race, this will do for all the events you ride at the Speedway. Please bring the correct cash or cheque made payable to the NCRA each week. We need your support for these events.

anyone know if you can get a day license there??

I fancy giving it a go, but not prepared to upgrade my BC membership, and buy a license just to see if it's something I want to get into again!!

can't see anything about day licenses on the BC page for the race!

Tim, which ones are you doing? Alternating Thursdays?

Hi David,
I was hoping to do the fist one on the 9th, however circumstances have conspired against me so I will have to miss this one.I am planning on going on 16th and 23rd May, the following week I'll do the TT and then back to Rockingham the week after.
I think the timetable for the races is 3 weeks open entry, 4th week NCRA members only.

As far as licences go you can get a day licence if you don't have a race licence.

Bear in mind if you have Ride membership you won't have insurance for competition (Race includes at last 3rd party, personal insurance requires Race Gold I think).
