Unfortunately having now had confirmation that the roadworks that blighted the TT season are going to be ongoing well into the New Year, we've had to make a change of venue for this year's (originally scheduled for the summer) Ashman Trophy.

As you'll be able to see from the link & pic below, we've hopefully managed to find an alternative course that is still effectively a two-lap event (although I'm glad I'm not working out how on earth it will be handicapped)

For anyone unfamiliar with the Ashman Trophy, it is our club's longest running competition, and with both a handicap & scratch competition should hopefully offer equal chances of success or heroic failure to all - see report from last year's for an outline of what a good event it can be.

As with any event, it can only happen with the help of others, so anyone who thinks they may prefer to help with signage, signing-on, marshalling, post-race refreshments etc will be very welcome

more formal confirmation will follow in due course, but wanted to let everyone know the date & course as soon as possible. Hope to see you all there

Just wanted to say a big thanks to the organisers, marshalls, time keepers and spectators who braved the elements today, it was much appreciated.

couldn't have said it better Dave. Without people volunteering to do all the work on the day to make it happen and also to shout (what was hopefully encouragement) as we went round, things just wouldn't happen.

cheers
