Judith Thursday nights was created by rooster
Theres a good chance my wife Judith will be coming down to the thursday tts , she is a good cyclist and laps the course in about 39 mins without tt bars etc, however she is very worried about everyone waiting for her at the finish after being caught ( if she is !!!)
my questions are would it be possible to set her off first but say 3 mins or so in front of everyone else rather than the normal one ??
And could she come down and try a couple without being a member first ? im sure she d join but its a confidence builder first ??
Thanks richard h

hi richard, i dont think judith need worry 39mins sounds alright to me plus most people hang around for a while at the end , catch breath and all that then cycle back together in my experience anyway. by the way nice time yesterday looked like there were some strong riders over there!

Richard, if Judith rides round in 39 mins and goes off first or nearly first there is no problem at all. I doubt there'd be much if any waiting around anyway. As I understand it (and Richard O can confirm), CTT runs a Come and Try scheme where someone can ride one TT without being a member of an affiliated club but has to join a club to ride more. My impression is that the TT will be heavily subscribed this year.

39 minutes is fine. May have to be just a normal minute gap, especially if there is a full field, otherwise it *might* get tight for light with the early races.

She can ride the first for free as a come and try, but after that she really needs to be a club member.

If she joins the club, there are a couple of women's trophies up for grabs...

Richard

btw, Congrats for Saturdays ride!

Thanks mate, there were some very good testers there as i thought . The national 10 is being held on there in 5 weeks time so a lot of people looking to recce/test the course. Also a fair bit of wind around and its quite open in places but the same for everyone of course.
