Holiday in the EU

Hi there, just a word of caution, if you are going into the EU for your holidays especially Germany, Spain and France and taking your bike with you, please make sure that if it is on a 1.roof rack..2 bike carrier that it is secured by a chain and lock or a U Lock.. there are thieves out here who see bikes that are easy to steal and take them.. 1.. never leave your car out of your view, never get to your hotel and leave the car and bike unattended, if you go into a cafe or restaurant make sure you can see your car and bike (s),,,never ever get to your hotel/gite/apartment and leave the car with bikes on in the car park whilst you do the formalities without someone with the car...if not your £3000 bike will be gone for ever.... happy holiday..Geoff...

especially as bike theft is something completely alien to the UK where we can all leave our bikes unlocked and unattended without any fear of some little toe-rag having them away........
