Thanks for your comment Steve, what sort of routine would you prefer?

One with a seat might help instead of being out the saddle the whole time.
And I think all she knows is one full turn again again I got to a point where I had enough of it.
Sorry but had to be said

The reason she has to repeat the instructions is that there are a few guys on the back row always talking to each other!!
No but seriously, I'll ask her to mix it up.

All constructive criticism welcome.

Thank you Terrance but I think the noise came from the back row, 'no names no pack drill'.

To be fair I liked last night's session mainly because I know I need to work on stuff involving standing on the pedals a fair bit more.

My only gripe is there seems to be one bike out of the whole lot where the seat doesn't tilt downwards slightly. Now I appreciate that these may be set-up for the main demographic that attends spin class but last night was the first time I didn't really have an issue with it (mainly because we were standing most of the session).

Just to throw my 2pence worth in.....

"Turbo" indoor trainers (fluid are best by far) are much more beneficial than spin classes.
Spin bikes/classes are fine for base miles but Turbo trainers (not used to calling them that here in the US) have the advantage of riding your own bike and using your gears (fluid trainers) for resistance giving a far more realistic road feel to the training. I have a Kurt Kinetic Fluid which I use in the winter months and for pre-race warmups.

I would also strongly recommend "Sufferfest" videos for your training rides as they offer a huge variety of vidoe's for any riding scenario.
