The club got off to an excellent start in the N&DCA series in a 10-mile time trial on Saturday 25th March.

In a very competitive field, Nic Pillinger came 4th with a time of 20:30, closely followed by Sam McDonald in 5th with 20:46. Shaun Jarvis was the next St Neots rider in 11th with a time of 21:45, giving us a combined team time of 63:01 which meant we came agonisingly close to the team overall win, just 11 seconds shy of Peterborough. Despite feeling under the weather, Adam Williams managed to come 17th with a time of 22:32, and Pat Ellerbeck finished 33rd overall (3rd best in the road bike category) in 24:47. If you enjoy the club Thursday night time trials and want to do a bit more, the N&DCA series could be what you are looking for. They are held on sporting courses like Abbotsley, have a very friendly atmosphere, and the range of speeds from the fastest to slowest riders are just the same. There will be other riders from St Neots there to chat to and give you advice too. Visit the N&DCA website for more information: http://www.northamptondca.org.uk/index.html.
