SNCC -About the Club
St Neots CC is a friendly cycling club based in St Neots, serving the town and the villages around. We are one of the oldest cycling clubs in Britain, having been first founded in 1887. We focus mainly on road cycling and road racing however some of our members also ride off-road. Throughout the year we organise Sunday club runs that explore the countryside around Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. In summer we run a weekly time trial on an excellent sporting course near Abbotsley and Gamlingay and on Tuesday evenings in summer there is a regular chain gang for those planning to race or just get faster. Other members organise mid-week rides which are advertised on the website and include regular rides from the Market Square at 9.30am on a Tuesday and Friday.
The club membership over the past few years sits at around 150. We are always keen to welcome new members, whether you are an experienced roadie or new to road cycling. Some of our members have had many years of riding, racing, audax and sportive experience, and are happy to help new members with all aspects of road cycling - from techniques for group riding through nutrition and cycle maintenance.
