St Neots CC is a friendly cycling club based in St Neots, serving the town and the villages around. We are one of the oldest cycling clubs in Britain, having been first founded in 1887. We mainly focus on road cycling and road racing but some of our members also ride off-road. Throughout the year we organise Sunday club runs for training and leisure that explore the countryside around Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. In summer we run a weekly time trial on an excellent sporting course near Abbotsley and Gamlingay and on Tuesday evenings in summer there is a regular chain gang for those planning to race or just get faster. Other members organise mid-week rides which are advertised on the website. We have frequent social evenings and outings. In 2012 we organised a 125km sportive to celebrate our 125th anniversary, and we hope that it will become an annual event.
The club has been growing rapidly in recent years, and we are always keen to welcome new members, whether you are an experienced roadie or new to road cycling. Some of our members have had many years of riding, racing, audax and sportive experience, and are happy to help new members with all aspects of road cycling - from techniques for group riding through nutrition and cycle maintenance.
