Annual SNCC/Titan Reliability Ride - February/March
This event is always well supported and the social atmosphere welcoming. Riders enjoy a relaxed start, with free refreshments and snacks afterwards, although an extra donation to the charities is more than welcome.
For those unfamiliar with what a Reliability Ride is Wikipedia covers the broader term, but put simply it's when a club puts on an event for it's members and guests to dust off the winter and challenge themselves at the start of a new season. The idea is to be self sufficient and cover a given course on their own, without signposts and support. These events are however quite nostalgic and something to be continued for the heritage of cycling. Spot the difference between a Reliability Ride and a Sportive?
All event entry fees and proceeds go 100% to charity, previous years have been donated between MAGPAS, Sue Ryder St. Johns Hospice at Moggerhanger, Maggies, MIND, Breast Cancer Research, Brain Tumour Research, Ronald McDonald House Charities & Motor Neurone Disease Assocation.
You can be assured of a warm welcome at the start and end of your ride, come along and enjoy.
Event details for each year will be posted via the Web Site Event Calendar & Members Weekly Bulletin.
