Hattersley Fastest...

The benign conditions of the previous week were replaced by a strong head wind for the first three miles up to the turn for the golf course. This was reflected in the times for the 25 riders at the start line with only two – Mark Mossop and Steve Muchmore – posting PB’s against the 12 PBs that were set on the 21st May. Congratulations to Mark and Steve.

Luke Hattersley, a guest rider from St Ives CC , was fastest on the night with a 25.48. Luke took part in the SNCC Open TT event on 17th May and posted a 24.38 which would have been the course record until David MacGaw from Cambridge CC went faster with a 24.17. 

Nic Pillinger continues his excellent start to the season of either being 1st or 2nd fastest on the night followed in third place by Karl Hiner with a 27.47 and in fourth Mark Mossop who took 46 seconds from his PB. 

Delighted to see Richie Broad on his debut TT post a 28.33. and also welcome to Janice Lister on her first TT with the Club and we hope to see you and your family at the TT again this season. 

Although not riding thanks for the encouragement around the course from Aaron Bird and Ashley Cooper and it will be good to see you gents back competing soon..

Handicap Trophy

18 points on offer (guests and first timers do not count) and Mark and Steve took the top two spots with their net sub 25 minutes and for the rest it was all about getting as close to their PBs to be in contention for the points . 

Gary Newman was within 15 seconds of his PB to take third spot and 16 points followed by Simon Rinaldo who was 23 seconds from his PB with 15 points.

Handicap Trophy – Running Total

David Wilson continues to lead the field in the quest for the 2015 Handicap Trophy but with only 25 points separating the current Top 10 it is now all about riding to your PB or better as much as possible to ensure gaining points on the night to remain in contention.

Nic Pillinger continues with his string of consistent times around his PB to close within 12 points of David and watch out for chasing pack of Chris , Simon , Keith and Gary who are all poised and waiting to make up ground on the leader over the next 13 TT’s of the 2015 season.

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign on at the latest at 7.00 pm for a 7.15pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try".
