Last Saturday 21st April saw the second round of the NDCA time trial series,

this time held on the local N1/10 course at Sawtry. Most of the series features sporting course, known for their hills but this is a more traditional out and back time trial course, following the Old North Road from Sawtry towards Norman Cross and back over ten miles. Weather was expected to be warm and it didn't disappoint however a moderate breeze had made its way into the area meaning a nice tailwind on the outward leg before the inevitable headwind return.

As we made our way back to HQ, times started to come in. Tom Stokes had posted a very respectable 22:10 which looked like it would be amongst the fastest time and it was! Giving him 5th place! After a few rough calculations it appeared there maybe a sniff of a team prize too which was confirmed with second placed team made up of Tom Stokes, Sam Mcdonald and David Lindsay (the fastest three riders count) One last prize winner was Pat Ellerbeck who came 2nd his masters category.
