A mix of Time Trials, a Crit and of course the Dunwich Dynamo and a couple of Audaxes make up an eclectic mix of results this week.

Dawn Donaldson Thurs 29th Jun VLCE 10 miles TT 28.05

Gary Adnitt Sat/Sun Jul 1st/2nd Dunwich Dynamo (Triangle) 270 miles

An exceptional effort by our former chairman, we normally have a few riders from the club riding this but this year Gary represented us. Firstly he rode to Hackney Fields to get to the start, in itself a day's ride for most people. Then rode the Dunwich Dynamo some 115 miles overnight to arrive in Dunwich, pint in the Ship then a ride home. Met by Malcolm and one other near Newmarket to complete a fantastic ride.

Charlotte Lawson/Simon Richardson Sat Jul 1st Greenwich Audax 130miles+

Nice to see Lotty completing her preparation for Mont Ventoux (holiday) and as part of her rehabilitation from her horrific accident last and Simon getting back on the Audax horse after abandoning the Chase the Sun ride. Well done both.

Nic Pillinger Sat Jul 1st Finsbury Park 50 mile TT F2/50 1;46.07 2nd

Write up from Nic. Ride harder, go slower.

The day began with exceptionally low pressure, light winds, and overnight rain to clear the air. However, by race time the wicked wind of the west had picked up, promising to make each leg from Madingley to Caxton a place to ponder one’s life choices. The 8mph swing for the ride back would only partly make up for the misery, but not placate the timing gods!

It was my third outing on the F2/50 this year, and my third fastest time, but my best power, and arguably my best executed ride. With the tricky conditions, pacing was going to be key, and I did a fair job of measuring my output throughout the ride according to the wind. My 10 mile splits were:

20:33

21:56

21:30

21:36

20:32

Ultimately stopping the clock at 1:46:07.

It was a significantly reduced field, with most of the usual suspects picking to ride the National 50 instead. My time secured the runner’s up spot 33 secs behind the winner.

Next up the National 100.

RTTC National 50 Sun Jul 2nd Southend Wheelers E9/50

We had 4 riders out, 2 riding for SNCC and Anastasia and Ruth riding for their parent clubs. I think this is the first time we've had 4 riders at a Nationals for a few years. Our Club TT is on the up. No write ups received so this is an extract from the results. Well done to all 4 riders.

Pat Ellerbeck BM Crit Race 12 milesTues 4th Jul - 2nd in race, 1st in age group

A wet British Masters Crit at the bowl, a shortened race 1/2 hr +3 laps, broke off the front at half way, 1 rider caught me and we kept away from the rest of the field, as usual was outsprinted at the end, so 2nd in race 1st in age group.
