Club Run Report 30th Nov 2014

Today saw the splitting of the short distance group into two separate groups, one being a slower ride whilst the other being a bit faster. I went for the bit faster although I was a bit unsure if Richard's (our chairman) shouts of 18-19mph was actually feasible.

Anyway we set off out of town towards Paxton and Toseland at a relatively relaxed pace and by the time we turned towards Toseland we decided to try some through and off, and with some on-the-move coaching it worked very well with no-one shirking their turns on the front.

I’m not sure that anyone in the group had ridden using this technique but all picked it up really quickly and this allowed for a smooth and energy efficient ride over the 30mile route. At one point in the ride Chris G and Rob B joined us from the slower group and slotted in without any problem. It's nice to report on a ride that was uneventful for the right reasons and whereby it just worked, and worked well, so to that end a massive well done to everyone who rode in the group and made it a good morning's riding.
