I was thinking of giving this a go, how many normally turn out? i don't want to have to work too hard if there's not many of us

so far there is the grand total of 2 - myself and Ade. In the last couple of weeks there has also been one of the RAF boys from Brampton as well. Wayne is hopefully turning up and David can't as he has prior commitments. In other words it could be anything from 2 - 5 of us; either way you won't be left behind - you can always stay on someones back wheel, no need to do a turn at the front.
Or put it another way - just get yourself down to neros for 6, preferably with a bike !

yes out for TT this week.
I normally run tuesdays hence no chaing gang, but not next week as i'm racing on the 22nd so want to save my running legs

The average speed depends on who is out. However, it tends to be around 21-23 mph - I think its about 34.5 miles but i stand open to correction on that.
Don't let this put you off.
Geoff introduced the chain gang to the club last summer. The idea is to keep going with the group as far as you can; if you get dropped keep going and at an appropriate point turn around and the chain gang will catch you up and you then latch onto the back.
This is exactly what happpened last night.
Whats the worst that can happen ? Give it a go.....
