'Tea with the Pope'

I hear that Alistair Henderson went for 'Tea with the Pope' today whilst in Rome.
I think he's hoping for a miracle to improve his cycling!
This poses the question, is this ethical behaviour from one of our elder statesman?

I think his countrymen benefited from something approaching a miracle yesterday, so perhaps he put a word in with the Big Man.

Either way, I imagine both Alistair as a true Scot and the (Argentinian) Pope both sat down to watch the England game and cheered them home
