Please be aware that all event entry fees and proceeds go 100% to charity. This year split between Sue Ryder Moggerhanger, Maggies & Ronald McDonald House Charities.
This event is always well supported and the social atmosphere welcoming. Riders enjoy a relaxed start, with free refreshments and snacks afterwards, although an extra donation to the charities is more than welcome.
For those unfamiliar with what a Reliability Ride is Wikipedia covers the broader term, but put simply it's when a club puts on an event for it's members and guests to dust off the winter and challenge themselves at the start of a new season. The idea is to be self sufficient and cover a given course on their own, without signposts and support. These events are however quite nostalgic and something to be continued for the heritage of cycling. Spot the difference between a Reliability Ride and a Sportive?
