Website

  • A simpler, two-column format for the club site was discussed, with prominence given to the calendar, weekly routes and recent news and reports. Affiliations and social information would be maintained lower down on the front page.
  • It was noted that content is the key element in keeping the website front page fresh and it was incumbent on club members to provide this, whether it be race/TT reports or other information.
  • A prototype of the proposed layout will be produced for committee approval, but it was noted that any requirement to change the website's template would have an impact through the site and complicate any update (Action: Alec and Committee).

Treasurer’s Report

  • The Treasurer advised that club finances remain healthy.
  • Club membership currently stands at 103, with 98 renewals and 5 new members. The retention rate is broadly consistent with 2014.
  • The Committee would encourage all 2014 members who have not yet joined and are taking part or are planning to take part in club events during 2015 to renew their membership as soon as possible.
  • Latest kit order is due mid April. It was agreed that all future kit orders would require payment in full before despatch of the order to the supplier to avoid any bad debts being incurred by the Club. The present arrangement of using Club Funds to cover the deposit required by the supplier will be discontinued.
  • It was proposed that the club appoint a Kit Secretary whose responsibilities would include managing kit orders and sourcing an alternative kit supplier. It was agreed to add this as a separate agenda item for future discussion (Action: AMc)

Racing and Time Trials

  • We are still trying to obtain updates regarding both the current roadworks on the Abbotsley course and expected future roadworks relating to the planned solar farm in the area, both of which have the potential to impact our TT season. Use of an alternative course will require notifications to CTT and the local police, with a lead time of around 28 days to be expected. We are still working to obtain an update (Action: SR).
  • Purchase of x2 first aid kits and x2 flasks (for post-TT tea and coffee) approved and still outstanding (Action: AMc to speak with Mandy).
  • Open TT venue for 17 May 2015 to be reviewed (Action: SR).
  • Entry to the Silverstone Team TT was confirmed. AH will pay the entry fee once the process is confirmed (Action: AMc, SR & AH).
  • All additional equipment required to support our NCRA race on 21 March has been purchased.

CCF

  • Nothing to report.

Social Plans

  • It was proposed that the Club consider promoting a reliability ride in February 2016. Further discussion needed (Action: SW).
  • It was noted that the Hell of St Neots ride is now less than a month away. The ride is now likely to be a club-only event with a subsidised buffet at the Hog & Partridge afterwards (Action: RO & SW).

Autumn Breeze 2015

  • The Autumn Breeze page on the website will be updated to reflect the confirmed date of 4 October 2015 (Action: RO and Alec).

AOB

  • It was agreed that the next committee meeting would primarily focus on Autumn Breeze 2015, with the aim of forming a planning sub-committee for that event.
  • It was proposed that the committee should investigate retaining a mobile ICE database of member's information in case of any accidents. Further discussion needed (Action: AMc).
  • It was agreed that future committee meetings would be held on the 3rd Monday of each month.

April Committee Meeting

  • The April committee meeting will be held at the White Horse in Eaton Socon on Monday 20 April at 19:30. All club members are welcome to attend. The primary objective of this meeting will be to form an organising sub-committee for the Autumn Breeze Sportive. If any members would like to be involved in the organisation of this year's event, please come along.
