Join us for Super Saturday on March 19th

First of all, we'd like to say a big 'thank you' to you for supporting Breakfast Club. Last Saturday we cooked 70 breakfasts for people from Old Weston and surrounding villages, plus a posse of cyclists from St Neots Cycling Club.

The atmosphere in the hall was great and we're looking forward to cooking breakfast for you again on Saturday April 9th.

We won't be holding Breakfast Club in March, as we have a big event planned for Saturday March 19th. That day is what's known as 'Super Saturday', as the final three games of the Six Nations Championship all take place. It's also St. Patrick's Day weekend.

We're investing in a significant upgrade of the audio-visual equipment in the hall, so it seems appropriate to test out the new kit while we celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a Six Nations Event.

On the rugby front, these occasions are always action-packed and fraught with tension. The topsy-turvy nature of how the fixtures, scoring and bonus points work means that we often go into Super Saturday with three potential winners, and sometimes they're playing each other. Exciting stuff!

The hall - and the bar - will be open from 2pm until the end of the last game, with food available throughout the day from the excellent HeartCibo. Click on the link for details:

In honour of St Patrick's Day, we have managed to source Draft Guinness for the bar and, as it's the culmination of the Six Nations, the hall will be decked out with the flags of the participating nations.

The fixtures for the day are as follows:

14:15 Wales vs Italy
16:45 Ireland vs Scotland
20:00 France vs England

We look forward to seeing you for what promises to be a really special day's rugby and socialising with friends. Come down and support your nation and your village at the same time!
