Thanks Andy, just discovered I need to add bruised ribs to the list. Same way as last skiing tumble found out through laughing at something!

Thanks Ruth, bike seems ok by all account (Richard W gave it a quick check over) and it's gear/clothing/me that took the brunt of it.

Sorry to hear about your tumble. Here's to a speedy recovery and whoever said that laughter is the best form of medicine obviously never had a rib injury! Hope to see you out and about soon. Andy H

Cheers Andy, bike is back tonight thanks to Richard Wales.
Went back to A&E today as I had concerns, good thing I did as by all accounts there's no way I should have been given an appointment two weeks away. It's been moved to Wednesday so we'll see how that goes!

Another brief update, was in for surgery Thursday afternoon up at Hinchingbrooke and was let out yesterday. Couple of pins and a section of artificial bone graft.
Sling has got to be worn for at least three weeks and all will be reassessed at fracture clinic/orthopaedics towards the end of November. Specialist and the physio I saw yesterday were pretty supportive/understanding of desire to get back on the bike, that's if any of you lot will read near me again

Jeez... that sounds pretty bad. Just as well you got it sorted out!
Hope it mends soon. It's a good idea to get back on the bike as soon as is practical. I didn't after a serious motorcycle accident, and it's taken me 10 years to get back to it for no good reason.

Artificial bone graft is usually an exotic ceramic base so I guess that makes up for lack of carbon fibre too!
How did yesterday go?
