The forecast looks good but I don't fancy cambridge.

I'll be leaving mine for Finchingfield at 7:00. It's a 50 mile trip so 100 for the day. There is a recreation ground at Gt Eversden where people could park and that reduces the trip to 35 miles. I'll wait there until 8 and at an 18 mph avg we should arrive at 10:00, 75 minutes before the caravan.

I'll be taking some food and drink as I expect the pub might be busy

:: update :: I shall be leaving from the Horseshoe pub Offord D'arcy at 7:30 and hooking up with Mark B at Bourn Golf club at about 8:10

We should be at Finchingfield at about 10:30

I will be at the start in club colours if anyone is around, planning on riding down the busway from st.ives after work. Just got back from Yorkshire after watching the first two stages, might be short viewing but it was AMAZING!!!!!

For those going to Great Shelford we will be leaving between 8.15-8.30 for a social ride over. There will be at least a couple joining us as we head over - all welcome.

You could have driven into Cambridge TBH, it was actually quieter traffic-wise than when we did the route recce on a Sunday morning! Cambridge didn't have the carnival atmosphere of Yorkshire but it was fairly busy. Highlight was probably seeing Ritchie Porte getting a bike change about 10 feet down from us.

About 30 of us cycled over to Great Shelford and had a great time. One pub stop and one coffee and cake stop (for Chris) on the way home.
