Hell of St Neots 24, this was a lovely day for a gravel ride despite a strong headwind when we were going South but a tailwind when we were heading North.

Read more ...Welcome to the April edition of the Chairman's Chatterbox, I've not had any abuse about this column so I'm going to keep it going.

Read more ...20 riders took part in the Hot Cross Bun Run to the Tap & Kitchen at Oundle and the Holly Lodge cafe on Good Friday.

For the TT we had 3 members riding on a very windy course, thanks to Sam McDonald for pushing off, Ian Stokes for organising the event and to Norman King for being the Timekeepers Assistant (checking for lights and helmets). The NDCA events are a great way of getting into Time Trialling at an "Open" level. Pat continues to race and did a road race on Sunday riding for VeloElite RC.
Read more ...The club has received a donation of various cycling and running gear, mainly clothing, all in really good (as new) condition. We are looking to sell them off for a donation to the MND charity – suggested donations in the attached list. Mike will bring the gear to the Ale Taster on Thursday, so bring some cash and grab yourself a bargain.
So we had 3 members of the club riding at the weekend, 2 in Time Trials (Paul Williamson and Pat Ellerbeck) and Stassi Bowler racing for her new race team St Piran Ladies. Congratulations to all 3 on their results (I think the DNF was still a great effort at the CiCle Classic.
Read more ...Just a reminder if you are doing a TT, Crit, Road Race or even an Audax we'd love to see your report, it can be as serious or funny as you'd like. This week we have our prolific racer Pat Ellerbeck with his race report from last Sunday.
Read more ...On the 17th Mar, Anastasia Bowler (Stassi) is riding the Cicle Classic which starts at 1330. It is a great race and uses the roads around Rutland. Stassi as well as riding for SNCC also now rides for the St Piran ladies team so if you fancy a ride up there or want to spectate and give her a cheer then nows your chance.
On behalf of the Henderson family we would like to acknowledge our thanks to St Neots Cycling Club and the many guest riders who joined us for the Reliability Ride on 3rd March. Over 180 rode on the day.
Read more ...Sun 3rd Mar 24, a cold day beckoned as I rode up Priory Hill to see the Titan Team (George, Karen, Caroline and Karen). The forecast was good with the sun coming out and it was going to be 7c or so later in the morning. When I got there a few riders were waiting in their cars.

Our first Time Trialist of the season rode at the Ely Hardriders 25 on Sun 11th Feb. It will be no surprise that it was Pat Ellerbeck and he also provided a race report (guys/gals please keep the race reports coming in this year).

This would have put him 6th !
Alec, hence why I thought it was a filtering issue by organisers/UCI timing rather than anything anyone had done at the club end. Apologies if it came across that way.
Also didn't the organisers say something about a prize for club with most participants? Surely between SNCC, Cambridge CC and Yaxley Riders the club must have been well up there in the stakes?
I have a friend in Denmark who has done work for the tourist board so if anyone needs information on alternative hotels or campsites if the latter is "your thing" you know how to get hold of me.
