33 Entrants...

This was one of the best attended TTs for a number of years with 33 riders ready to test themselves for the 9th TT of the season over the 11.2 mile course.

There were 8 guest riders on the night and a warm welcome back to Kevin Stokes who has supported our TT for many years and also to Andy Bright who teamed up with Dom Whitehead for a 2-UP. Good to see so many guests once again supporting the Club.

We had 9 PBs on the night and well done to Keith Barton for his first sub 30 minute time, to Mark Greenhow going sub-28 and Steve Muchmore for his first sub-29 minutes .

The ever consistent Nic Pillinger was fastest home with a 26:02 which was another PB for him and also keeps him in contention for the 2015 Handicap Trophy.

2nd July 2015

This Thursday’s time trial takes place at the Croxton junction about a mile to the east of Abbotsley village with sign on at the latest at 7.00 pm for a 7.15pm start. Non-members are welcome to "Come and Try".

Handicap Trophy

With 24 points on offer (guests and first timers do not count) this was a good night for a PB and Simon Murphy, a recent new member, took over a minute from his time of last week to take the 24 points on offer. Also taking advantage of the points on offer were Keith Barton, Simon Rinaldo, Mark Greenhow and Aaron Bird.

The contest to be 2015 Handicap champion remains wide open and with TT’s left this season it will be all about how many TT’s you can ride and achieving or being close to PBs over the next 9 weeks.

Handicap Trophy – Running Total

Chris Green has taken over the yellow jersey for the past two weeks and with 40 points accumulated for these two weeks keeps slightly ahead of the ever consistent Nic Pillinger who either rides a PB or is close to his PB each week.

Making ground on the leaders is Keith Barton who has taken 40 points over the past two weeks and coming up hard on their wheels is Aaron Bird with 43 points over the past two weeks, and although currently in 16th place Mark Mossop has picked up 37 points during this period and could well be an outside bet for the 2015 Trophy.

The contest, at this time, remains wide open and some may now be regretting booking summer holidays as they will have to miss a few TTs!

N.B . The Handicap Table for 18th June needed a few adjustments and is published at the end . The correct points for 18/6/15 have been included in the Running Total table below.
